Payment information
Where paid reports or other paid services are offered, payment is expected to be processed by a specialist third-party payment provider identified at checkout. SavvyMove does not intend to store full payment-card details. We may receive transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, date, billing details and information necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, refunds and customer support.
How and why we use personal information
We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis. Depending on the circumstances, this may be necessary to perform a contract with you, pursue our legitimate interests, comply with a legal obligation, or act with your consent.
- Provide SavvyMove, understand your request and maintain conversation context — normally contract and/or legitimate interests.

- Create, personalise, deliver and retain paid reports — contract and legitimate interests.
- Operate accounts, saved searches, history or preferences where provided — contract and legitimate interests.
- Protect SavvyMove, prevent misuse, investigate faults and maintain security — legitimate interests and, where relevant, legal obligation.
- Improve reliability, user experience and service quality using appropriately minimised information — legitimate interests.
- Use non-essential analytics or similar technologies — consent where required by PECR/UK data protection law.
- Send direct marketing — consent or another lawful basis where permitted; you can opt out at any time.
- Meet tax, accounting, regulatory, dispute and legal requirements — legal obligation and legitimate interests.
AI, voice and conversational processing
SavvyMove uses artificial intelligence to interpret natural-language questions, understand property requirements, generate responses and assist with property analysis and report preparation. Our current AI architecture includes technology supplied by OpenAI. Information you enter may therefore be transmitted securely to AI service providers where necessary to provide the requested functionality.
Where voice features are used, audio may be transmitted for speech processing and may be converted into text. SavvyMove does not intend to use voice recordings to identify you biometrically. Where practical, text functionality is available as an alternative.
We design prompts, data flows and retention arrangements to minimise unnecessary personal information. Please avoid entering special-category, highly confidential or third-party personal information unless it is genuinely necessary and you have a lawful basis to provide it.
Property searches, reports and third-party data
SavvyMove may send relevant search criteria or property identifiers to licensed property-data services, mapping/location services and other providers in order to answer your request. Search criteria can include location, price range, bedrooms, property type, features and listing recency.
Paid reports may combine information you provide with licensed property data, public datasets, derived calculations and SavvyMove analysis. The report itself may therefore contain personal information if you ask us to personalise it to your circumstances. If a report is created for an account holder, we may retain the report and related order record so you can access it and so we can provide support, subject to our retention rules.
Cookies and similar technologies
SavvyMove may use cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs or comparable storage/access technologies. Technologies that are strictly necessary may be used without consent where the law permits. Non-essential technologies are not to be activated until the appropriate consent has been obtained. See our Cookie Policy and Cookie Settings for the current categories and controls.
Sharing, international transfers and retention
Who we share information with
We may make personal information available to trusted service providers only where reasonably necessary. Depending on the live architecture, these may include AI providers such as OpenAI; cloud/infrastructure providers such as Microsoft Azure and Cloudflare; database providers such as MongoDB Atlas; property-data/API providers; mapping providers; authentication, email, analytics, payment, security and technical-support providers. The precise supplier register is reviewed internally as services change.
We may also disclose information where required by law, a court, regulator or competent authority, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
International transfers
Some suppliers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK personal information is transferred internationally, we will use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards, where required.
Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, taking account of service delivery, security, account status, legal obligations and dispute periods. Anonymous or non-account conversational records may ordinarily be retained for up to 30 days unless a shorter or longer period is required for security, legal or operational reasons. Order, invoice and accounting records may need to be retained for longer under applicable law. Account-held reports may be retained while the account remains active or until deletion is requested, subject to legal retention requirements.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access personal information, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to processing, receive certain information in a portable form, and withdraw consent where consent is relied upon. These rights are not absolute and exemptions can apply.
To exercise a data protection right, contact hello@savvymove.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). We would welcome the opportunity to address your concern first, but you are not required to do so.
Security, children and changes
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information from accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, unauthorised access or disclosure. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
SavvyMove is primarily designed for adults involved in property decisions and is not directed specifically at children. If our service changes so that children are likely to use it materially, we will review the relevant age-appropriate safeguards and privacy information.
We may update this policy to reflect changes to SavvyMove, our suppliers, data practices or the law. The current version will be published on our website with its revision date.
